Counter Server/Cashier

Responsibilities

  • Create an exceptional experience for our clientele
  • Greet customers, answer questions about our menu, take orders, highlight new and seasonal items
  • Identify opportunities for “up-selling” and driving sales revenue
  • Enter orders into the Point of Sale system
  • Become an expert in our products; be able to describe them in detail
  • Learn the correct French pronunciation of our menu items
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry displays, counters, dining and storage areas
  • Assist with inventory of pastry products, packaging, paper goods
  • Adhere to all Dept. of Health regulations and health and hygiene standards as set forth in the employee handbook

Requirements

  • Preference for experience as a server, retail associate or similar customer service or hospitality function
  • Willing to work early morning hours – we open at 6am
  • Professional and hygienic appearance
  • General level of comfort with technology and willingness to learn new software
  • Fluent in English, bilingual is a plus
